What is Permanent Jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a clasp-free bracelet, necklace, or anklet that is welded together. It is fully customizable, to whatever styles the wearer likes. Chose between gold and silver chains, connectors, and charms. It can represent an emotional connection, a relationship, or remind the wearer of a cherished memory. It is a one of a kind, designed by you, custom fit by me, piece of jewelry. You can always be beautifully and simply accessorized with a piece as unique as you.

The Process

How Does It Work?

Tig welding uses electrical energy to create a high-temperature plasma that melts metal in a small spot. This process takes milliseconds and is very clean and controlled. Your safety is important to us. We slide a piece of leather over your skin and under the chain before any welding takes place. While welding, the process does emit UV light. To protect your eyes, we recommend looking away, wearing auto darkening shades, or watching through your phone camera. The metal will cool quickly after leaving you ready to take on the world with your new piece of permanent jewelry.

Prices vary depending on options. We currently have sterling silver, 14k gold, and 14K rose gold chains, charms, and connectors. Clasps are also available.

My name is Amy and I have been a welder by trade for many years. I have worked on fire trucks to NASA filtration systems and everything in between. I have always been fascinated by the ability to melt metal together and create something new. Permanent jewelry allows me to follow my passion and create beautiful unique pieces for you all.

How to Care for you Permanent Jewelry

You can clean your welded jewelry with warm water, a gentle tooth brush and dish soap. Jewelry polishing cloths work great to get them polished up and back to their super shiny selves. I recommend keeping jewelry clean from perfumes, make-up, hairspray, lotion, and other chemical products. Avoiding these instructions may cause tarnishing overtime.

Your permanent jewelry is dainty and can be fragile, but still should not break. Once the piece is welded onto you, the jewelry is now under your care. Please note: I cannot replace damaged or lost jewelry, but I am happy to honor the re-weld promise.

Re-Weld Promise

If your jewelry from Permanent Jewelry by Amy ever breaks at the weld, I will honor a complimentary re-weld at no cost to you.

If your chain from another permanent jewelry brand breaks at the weld, I charge a $20 fee for re-welding your original chain.

If you are not happy with how your jewelry fits I will work with you on how to make it right. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Private Events

Booking a private party allows me to conveniently bring a fun and special permanent jewelry experience directly to you. I look forward to connecting with you and all of your guests.

Some things to keep in mind:

• Minimum of 6 purchasing guests
  
• $50 non refundable booking fee - this saves the date and covers mobile services (extra travel services may apply)
• There is a 30 minutes set up and 30 minute break down period.
• Each piece takes a minimum of 10-15 minutes, but can take longer with decision making and added charms.
• Consent Forms are required from each guest.
• Last but not least, the host gets 50% off!
